Well the first review got wiped out by mistake, so I'm not sure if I'm going to write another short book here LOL.
- came in a timely manner, everything was well packaged, everything in plastic wrap. - assembly was a breeze, use your common sense. If you have no experience putting something together, read the instructions carefully. Parts simply snap into their respective positions. - buttons are easily readable, such as Power, etc. There's a power button for turning the power brush on and off, a great feature of course for floors and high pile items such as bathroom mats. - suction adjust feature is great. This allowed me to vacuum a high pile bathroom mat, and also a very short pile Matt in another bathroom. Real time saver because otherwise I would have to shake them out and or wash them. - vacuum does lean back fairly well, but still can't get under beds, because of the motor / canister. It has an unpowered floor attachment which I have not tried. The floor attachment does have a couple lines of material which I think helps to shake up carpet or floors. It also has a flip switch, the purpose only being 2 push a wiper like rubber portion down. This blocks the back of the attachment so it catches more dirt, at least that's what it appears to me to be for, also perhaps to help maintain suction levels. - I cleaned a bedroom that I had vacuumed just a few days prior with my old one. Because there is a bed and drawers, I realistically only vacuumed probably half of this 10 x 12 bedroom. I did go over it pretty well, and was pleased the vacuum picked up quite a bit of debris. It's always a little disgusting when you consider how much dust and dirt is sitting in what appears to be a clean carpet. - for a 6-foot man, the height of the handle is great. The handle does have some weight to it when in use. I noticed it was a little bit weighty, I don't want to say heavy to throw anyone off. I'm just saying it has more weight to it than my old one. - have not used the suction driven small vacuum attachment, so can't comment on that one yet. But with this strong vacuum I have experienced I am hoping it will do a good job on the fabric of my couch. I have a dog that sheds regularly, a real pain. - I bought the cheap insurance because of some defects others have pointed out. It is important to remember, this is a PLASTIC device. Treat it with care when using. When removing the handle, and things that snap into place and have buttons to release them, just carefully do it. Don't jerk things out or ram them back in or you can expect to damage your new vacuum. - I will mostly be using this on tile and vinyl plank flooring. I just tore the carpet out of one room and will tear it out of the other. So will not be able to comment much on performance with carpet, other than the initial comment I made.

If you want a vacuum that is ambitious, gets the job done and is trim and sexy, this is the one for you! I didn’t even realize I was just going through the motions of life with my old vacuum. I thought my home was clean, until I met this beauty. I will never look at another vacuum the same way again.
It removed evidence of my pets shedding problems. Like my clothes and winter coat are cleaner because it has sucked up pet “glitter” I never even saw before on furniture. It’s taken up my daughter’s rapunzel like hair that was caught down in the creases of my couch. It has sucked up dust I didn’t even know I had!! I’m pretty sure this vacuum loves me back. I don’t even want to put it away in a closet because it’s so pretty, I want to show it off. I’m in for life. This vacuum deserves a diamond ring.
If you have settled for another vacuum before this one, just know, you deserve better. And it’s right here. At a great price. You will never regret your relationship with this baby. If you’re thinking about it, buy it. BUY THIS VACUUM.

(I have 3 because they always break due to my hair getting stuck in the roller brush) all of that hair was in the canister! My house feels so clean!! It was simple to put together. The swivel is a little awkward at first but is useful.

I’ve had about every brand vacuum (Dyson, Bissell, Hoover etc) and I finally decided to try out a Shark. So far so good!! I have a lab who sheds a TON so I needed a vacuum that would suck hair off hardwoods (LED light is a must), carpet and shag rugs. I searched for days and finally decided on this one. It works so good!! This picture came from my shag rug after 2 days without a vacuum!! So gross, but so glad this vacuum really does the job! The liftoff is great for stairs and the LED light really shows you what’s on the hardwoods. The cord length is shorter than what I’d like, but it’s not a deal breaker. Picks up a lot of dust and has great suction!

I’ve had my Electrolux back for a year. (Another story) I thought my carpets were clean. I put this pretty teal Shark Navigator together & ran it around the main path of my living room carpet & (very important) switched to hard floor mode & it breezed over my rug! It didn’t try to suck it up! It actually swept the little rug in front of my door! Back over to carpet mode & the main pathway and this beautiful machine picked up all you see (embarrassingly) in that photo!! Understand, this is an apartment, I’ve lived in for 2 years. After using my Electrolux vacuum on these floors & filling bags with dust & dirt for a year with that sweeper I did not expect this! I’ll add the maneuverability was smooth & easy in my tiny apartment, and I have waist length hair that’s been falling out since Covid in 2020, in mad amounts. I did NOT have to untangle it from the carpet brush wheel! It’s my first use, I’m very impressed & I’m highly recommending this Shark.

Like wow!!!! The picture was from going over our master bedroom.
After weeks of reviewing vacuums I finally decided on this one! My family has really bad allergies. My 6 year old son has bad asthma also. Which is why I was on the hunt for “the best vacuum” To my surprise ! As you can tell in the video It reallllllyyyyy picked up what the human eyes cannot see!! I’m excited to see if there’s a change in my kids/husband, sneezing/coughing.
The lift away mode is cool. But it is kinnnddaa heavy. Not unbearable but I’m sure after a while of carrying around. You’ll feel it
I also “revacuumed” my son’s rooms, last it got vacuumed was Friday. They are barely in it. And it picked up some noticeable amount !
I see a couple hairs wrapped around the no hair roller. As I was vacuuming. But my hair is reeealllyy thick and past my butt. So. I’m not surprised it didn’t work as it says it does as far as the no hair wrap function goes 😅

I love this vacuum. I did so much research before I bought if I wanted to do a shark vs a Dyson and I am sooo glad I went with the shark. The price is better, the research said the shark lasts longer, and it has more suction power. I also love how this vacuum has a setting for carpet and a setting for hardwood floors. We have a golden retriever too who sheds a ton and it sucks up all the hair with ease and I’ve had no trouble with tangles. 10/10 recommend!!! I’m obsessed!!

I needed an upgrade due to my old 5 year old DirtDevil lacking suction power. We have 2 short haired dogs and live in Ga, So they get red clay dust on them and it gets in the carpet. I vacuum the house every week and can't seem to get the carpets clean enough. The old vacuum did half as well as the Shark. I used my new shark and was instantly impressed! It has suction control, hardwood and carpet option, a washable filter and washable HEPA filter. Its lightweight and has amazing control. My husband is probably tired of me talking about amazing my new vacuum is 🤣 I registered through the Shark website and also got a warranty for no extra charge until 2028

I went from an expensive Dyson to this. Unbelievably better! This thing picks up anything in its path. No jammed up Dyson ball. Dirt bin is huge.
It is heavy but obviously that helps its performance. Tip: make sure you always use the detach feature to separate the tank from the wheels when you’re using the hose. It’s such a heavy vacuum that it ALWAYS falls over when using the hose but it’s worth the weight because this thing literally gets even the dirt down in the carpet and fluffs it up to look new again!
The hose attachment is amazing for doing blinds and fans.
I love this thing!! 5 stars from me!

This vacuum is a monster. It sucks up ALL the dirt & dust. It’s definitely heavy duty. The only downside is that it’s heavy so after you’re done with vacuuming the whole house it’s a work out, but worth it since it thoroughly cleans the carpets. A couple of my friends recommended this vacuum, now I understand why they were in love with this. 100% worth the money. Would buy it again.

This vacuum is old school awesome with the ease of modern assembly! It simply clicks together and you're ready to roll. Just used it for the first time. The design is simple with a carpet or bare floor power setting; no cumbersome adjustment of a dial on the brushroll for 5 different floor levels that don't make a difference anyway. It has a dial up by the handle in which you can adjust the suction by! How cool is that? To release the brush roll, you just put your foot on it to lower the handle--no pedals to push. The holding tank is secured by two latches. Some reviews say they don't like like that; they'd rather have one that snaps in. However, I find the latches to hold the tank in super well so the suction isn't compromised. The brushroll is unique and claimed self-cleaning; we'll see. Lastly, while using the floor mode with the dial set to moderate suction, I did all my hard floors and there is NO kickback of cat litter or other debris anywhere which is impressive in itself!

So this is one of those things that will make you mad you went so long without. Where do I start... It is the smoothest vacuum ever and has super suction without the hard to push part. It almost feels like a stick vacuum with suction of a full size. It feels like it's on a traction ball if that makes sense, FANTASTIC DESIGN. It can go at 90 degree angles with ease, no picking it up to maneuver or changing your stance/position. The canister was full of dirt and cat hair that my old vacuum left behind. I like this better for my bathroom and kitchen rather than sweeping now. It's also great on rugs (even small ones) without having to hold the rug down with one foot etc. I was shocked!! It's silly when you look forward to the day when you need to vacuum again = )

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. It is on the heavier side but I think that helps make it so powerful. I had my carpets professionally cleaned, and waited until this arrived to vacuum the carpets again, so there was about 7 days with no vacuuming. It is just me and my dog, no kids, no shoes on the carpet, etc…and look at how much was still picked up by this thing a week after the carpet was steam-cleaned! This was ONE bedroom…granted, the most used bedroom in the house but still! It’s amazing, worth every penny.

This vacuum can handle thick rugs and carpets as well as sprawling wood/laminate floors (with the correct adapters). Our old model broke down after many years of animal hair. We bought this new model and they fixed/updated all the annoying little issues! We didn't think that we could love it more but we do!
The beater brush handles 3-5 dogs, cat, and long ladies hair easy in a quick pass. All of the filters are washable/reusable and there are no bags because you just empty the plastic canister. The hand held wand never gets plugged up, because they added little doors to manually clean out obstructions.
We love this vacuum!
Now... it isn't magic. You have to clean it regularly, cut hair out of the beater bar, and most importantly get the right detachments for the job at hand. For this to work at its best it needs the floor attachment to the wand. We use this more than the beater brush because we don't have carpet anymore, just rugs that get terrible hairy. We use the wand and floor attachment through the whole house and have a full vacuum after 2 rooms, done once a week, and no hairy tumble weeds, sand, rocks, or cat litter!
BUY IT! SO WORTH IT!

I bought this vacuum on sale for prime days 2023. It was just delivered today 7/16. This is the 2nd shark I've purchased. The other was bought 2 years ago and promptly returned as it did not work well at all. So I was very hesitant to try again. But I have no regrets! I did spend several weeks reading up on other models. I compared the navigator to the rotator and all that. Even after weeks of thinking I could mot decide which to get because they all had great reviews and were attractive looking. Now, I cannot believe I paid so much for a vacuum without a retractable cord but I also can't believe that I waited so long! SHARK very clearly focused their energy on function vs fancy features and I'm not mad about it!
My carpet is 3 years old. I am 1 person without children. I do have 2 cats and occasionally dog sit for family. I also live in AZ where it is very dusty. I do occasionally wear shoes in the house but very infrequently And my shoes are never very dirty. I don't keep windows open much bc of all the dirt and dust. I vacuum 1 to 2x a week with a Bissell that I have had for around 6 years. My carpet has been matted down in areas of heavy traffic despite it just being me living and walking here. Vacuuming has never made any difference in the matting. I got this vacuum today and immediately put it together and vacuumed the living room. I am stunned, horrified, FLABBERGASTED, and almost embarrassed. Please note I vacuumed on Monday this week. Today is Sunday. My robot vacuum went around the whole living room 3 hours before I used the shark. The robots cannister was not even a quarter full. I have attached photos showing how much yuck the shark pulled out of my carpet. I can't believe my eyes. I also attached a photo showing an area that was matted before and after vacuuming.
The cannister on this shark seems to be pretty large capacity compared to my Bissell. It is not overly noisy. The handle is comfortable. It was very simple to put together. Took all of maybe 2 minutes by myself. The swivel steering does take some getting used to, kind of like learning reversing with a trailer on your vehicle. I have not tried any of the accessories yet so I can't say how well they work. But I would buy this again and again. I recently had a spinal fusion and spend most of my time in a great deal of pain. Using this vacuum did not cause any additional pain to my neck or back. My legs and arms burned afterwards bc it was difficult to push but I believe that's because of the amazing amount of suction this thing has!
Long story short. Buy it. You won't regret it. Stretch before you vacuum.
Pros: -amazing suction/ function -deep cleaning -easy to put together -attractive design -large dirt capacity.
Cons: - cord is not retracted - swivel steering takes some getting used to - the very strong suction seems to me the vacuum slightly difficult to push.
As far as the features I'm asked to rate, I do not have stairs so I can't say how it would do with stairs. But I can't imagine it would be anything less than great. I also have not tried the lift away feature.

I thought my house was clean until I used this vacuum. I have a cat and a large dog and they shed a lot! I could feel the difference in the carpet immediately after running the vacuum through. I was so excited I cleaned the whole house! The only con is that it is a bit heavy and difficult to maneuver because of the cord (I was using a cordless vacuum previously). I definitely recommend this vacuum if you have pets!

So I was super excited to get this vacuum. I saved up for it and finally I bit the bullet and bought it. It is worth every penny. I had an old shark navigator and it was plenty of years old and it just wasn't sucking anymore. I've always been satisfied with shark products and stayed loyal to the brand.
As soon as I opened the box set up was quick and easy. I plugged that bad boy in and OH EM GEE. The first picture was the first pass on my carpet and the second pic is the second pass.
I couldn't beleive what my other vacuum was missing! I think I found my cat in the carpet!
As for weight its pretty manageable. The brush roll feels as if it is self propelled. The lights on the head are super neat too!
Everything about this vacuum is made to suck...literally!

I upgraded from the Shark Navigator (bought May 2020) to this. We have 3 dogs, 2 of which are German Shepherds, so we tend to go through vacuums frequently.. I was pretty happy with the old Shark but felt it wasn't doing as good as it used to.. well, I was right. As a test run, I used the old Shark Navigator on this area rug then my new Shark Rotator Profesional right after and these were the results 😳😷
Highly impressed. I'm honestly impressed even with the old Shark I have too, just because it's still running after nearly 3 years.. before switching to the Shark brand we were buying a new vacuum every year. 😅
Worth the money so far. I will update my review if I run into any issues

I've been looking for a corded vacuum for a while. I used to have dyson vacuums and loved them. However, the last two I've bought (this year), I returned after the first time. The quality went down tremendously. I still have a cordless vacuum of theirs that i use on area rugs, the stairs and our downstairs that has LVP flooring that works great. I just haven't had good luck with their corded vacuums for whatever reason.
I had heard good things about the Shark vacuums and figured, why not. I'm SO pleased with this vacuum! It works as it should and the photo attached to this post is after ONE vacuum session of our upstairs. It's a new home and hadn't been seriously vacuumed other than spot touchups in about a month (don't judge me, i just couldn't find a vacuum worth the cost!). It did such a great job that I almost wanted to buy another one for my mom. Would purchase again without hesitation...assuming it holds up for while.

I ordered the Shark Rotator Professional vacuum early this morning and received it within a few hours thanks to the ******AMAZING DELIVERY***** @ Amazon. 😃🌟I easily put the vacuum together. Then tried it out on my sofa and love seat. Now we have 2 small dogs and they can shed at times a lot. 🐶 The Texas heat🥵 can be unbearable when the humidity is high. This vacuum worked like a champ.💪🏻 It has great suction and picked up all their hair with no hesitation. No hair came out of the tubing or the canister. No orders either. I think I’m going to enjoy this machine for the long haul. So far I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner. Also I noticed some people said they were unhappy with the length of the electrical cord. I’m happy to say that this model has an electrical cord of at least 25feet long. I think the company heard customers demands.😃 Our rascals hair is fine but it goes all over the place.

I have two Australian Shepherds (mini's) and i was looking for a better vacuum than my current Hoover. I was searching specifically for a "pet" vacuum that would deal with the dog hair and also something that would get dust and dirt better. I'm currently at the completion of construction on a new inground pool and the dust in the house and the dogs in and out has been a real problem over the past 8 months of construction. the picture i have uploaded should give you all the proof you need for the FACT that NO HAIR has gotten caught on the roller!! I vacuumed until container was beyond the full mark and as you can see NO HAIR ON THE ROLLER....amazing (this is a great feature) and all the dust stayed in the HEPA sealed container, which i was very impressed with!! it did a great job on the carpet and the tile floor. it was not loud. the container is a bit smaller so i had to empty it more often, but maybe that was also due to the fact that it picks up more, faster. it was not a draw back because of the vacuum's great performance; I also vacuumed the whole house and i hadn't vacuumed for a little over 2 weeks. only other draw back, which is nothing really, is the chord is a bit shorter than my other vacuum. but i will just get an extension to keep just for the vacuum. if they had to cut cost somewhere to make it a good price, that was the best place the do it, because everything else was fantastic.

Update added 6/7/22: the replacement arrived within a day (!) by Fedex; however it had the same problem described below; I contacted Shark again and this time they agreed to replace the entire unit at no additional cost to me;
Original review: I purchased this unit Sept 2020 on the recommendation of our cleaning lady; today the rotator head (see picture) broke down: basically the spinning brush stopped spinning; the unit is out of warranty; I took it to a local vacuum cleaner repair shop; they checked it out and said the belt was fine but the motor (which spins the rotator) was not working; they told me it was too expensive to repair and suggested I trade in my essentially junk unit for a $600 machine on their floor. I contacted Shark repair and after performing online suggested checks the website provided me with a contact number; I got thru immediately and Shade (I hope I have her name right!) sent me a zoom-like link to initiate a video call; after providing model and S/N she had me perform various tests and arrived at the same diagnosis. For about $45 Shark will send me a replacement head unit for exchange with my defective one; the outstanding customer service, the ease of finding support are what convinced me that this was a good machine to buy in the first place. The cleaning lady, of course, loves it.

I've had this vacuum for a little over 3 years now and it is still going strong; it is the best vacuum I've ever owned bar none. When it goes I will get another Shark, this model if it's still available. I cannot say enough good things about it. I do the filter changes within the recommended time frames that I'm supposed to and honestly the motor is just so powerful and the suction has stayed just as strong as when I first bought it. Off-brand filters are incredibly easy to find as well and are very reasonably priced. The attachments that come with the vacuum are incredibly versatile and well made. The wand release and lift away feature are so helpful with getting stairs. All of the bristles on the main brush are still very together and firm there's absolutely no wear on them or fraying. Some people like to say " they don't build them like they used to" about a lot of consumer products out there. Well... those people would be wrong about this vacuum this is probably one of the best things you can buy for your household and count on it to work reliably day after day year after year. I would also like to add that I have been a bit rough with this vacuum like I am not a delicate person I've slammed this thing around a bit. am I the only person out there who really puts their rage and emotion into their vacuuming? I seriously doubt it but let me tell you this vacuum can handle just about anything you can throw at it. Also, I love how easy it is to clean hair and strands of fiber or string out of the main brush roll with the rich grooves that they've created in the brush roll itself so that you can slide a sharp pair of scissors or a knife into the groove and cut the fibers or hairs and then pull them out from the brush roll. It's really hard to understand why all vacuums aren't designed the way that this one is and have the features that this one does and have the kind of quality that the shark vacuum does. I swear that I'm not a bot or some kind of like salesperson for shark this is just really an awesome vacuum and I could rant about it all day because out of all the things that I use in my house on a daily basis this is probably my favorite and not only that but it actually looks nice too. you know how a lot of things that are white plastic that you buy get that ugly yellow dinge within a short amount of time? This vacuum is not in that category mine still is the same nice white color It had when it was purchased. All of the rubber and silicone dust seals and the places where different components of the vacuum that are removable meat are still very well sealed and there are no air leaks in the hose either I swear to God this vacuum is like a miracle that something this could can actually exist. Most stuff made out there by most companies whether it be cell phones or cars are designed to break I feel like within a few years. Maybe I just somehow got a magical vacuum that was like blessed by you know the goddesd of home economics or something but in all seriousness BUY THE VACUUM.

(See below) HERE’S THE TRICK: My husband noticed a little clear window on the bottom side of the vacuum cleaner. In the window you could see that the tube was full. The vacuum tank was empty, but the window in the tube was full. I had vacuumed up some guinea pig hay and apparently it got stuck in the tube. Shark has an emergency ‘off’ switch inside that apparently stopped the vacuum so it wouldn’t burn out the motor. We were able to empty the tube and an hour later the vacuum started working again. This vacuum works better than any vacuum I’ve ever had! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Just check the little window to see if the tube is full if your vacuum stops working because something may have gotten stuck.
2 Stars. This vacuum worked great- While it worked. Great suction power, but a little on the heavy side, especially when vacuuming stairs. It wasn’t too loud like my last Shark vacuum. I received it on May 26. Today is June 21, and it’s not working at all.

The “Pet Hair Attachment” (which also has spinning bristles) completely sucked up all the hair on my maroon recliners. ◾️LOOK AT THE PIC I POSTED OF THE CONTAINER!... all that disgusting dirt and fur came from a carpet that was about 15ftx15ft... yes, I would NEVER in a jillion years think my carpet was nasty, I vacuumed daily before I got this Shark 🔹Having 5 different attachments is wonderful! I use the “Dusting Brush” the most. The “Crevice Tool” is also great to use in tiny places. 🔹I can also easily vacuum up kitty litter without little pieces flying all over the room, or not getting sucked up at all
🔴Con: 🔸I have fibromyalgia and I needed a way to vacuum the top of my cat’s 6 foot “castle,” which is why I got the lyft away vacuum, but the vacuum is still quite heavy. Still a 5⭐️ product😌💅

In the first 2 photos, I had literally taken this out the box as you can see in the background and vacuumed a 6x10 area rug that I used my Dyson on just two days before. A year ago I bought the cordless Dyson V7 for $400 after talking Best Buy into matching the price by showing them my bed bath & beyond coupon. I did a lot of research before that as it was my first vacuum purchase. I’ve only owned my house for 5 years and had a hand me down old fashioned Hoover from my mother that she purchased at a garage sale! The reviews said that it was great on any surface but I found it hard to push on the oriental rug- much less the upstairs carpeting. My mom bought the Shark Navigator Professional Lift Away a few months ago & swore by it. I was skeptical at first because it was an infomercial type thing that seems too good to be true, right? But although I’ve only had it a few days (3rd picture is from my 2 flights of 8 stairs each) I’m so pleased & want to share with anyone who is debating about what vacuum to get. If my mother is still pleased with it that tells you something! Lol I must also add that I considered buying it on Amazon first but once I was convinced this is what I wanted the 2 day wait was too long being with the holidays & having family over shortly. So I saw Kohl’s had their Black Friday specials and was offering the same price of $150 plus 15%off = $130. The advertising did not say online only & I even called the store to verify & check that it was in stock before I went. So I go to Kohl’s & they ring it up at $299 & I proceed to show the cashier & then the manager what they have advertised online & tell them how I even called to verify & they refused to honor the price they advertised. So I put back the vacuum- feeling extremely disappointed & deceived. I went home and ordered it on Amazon for the $150 that night because I thought I would rather pay the $20 extra than give Kohl’s my business after that! Then I go on Amazon the next day and see it was $129 for a Black Friday special and I thought aww if I just would’ve waited, but to my surprise I go in my cart & the price was already adjusted to $129. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase or Amazon for their amazing “save the day”! My vacuum arrived two days later. Super easy to set up. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I had a super hard time figuring out how to remove the wand from the canister & I watched a bunch of YouTube videos & I realized that I couldn’t turn it into the canister because I had the cord wrapped up!! Maybe that’s just me, but just incase I hope I saved at least one person the frustration I went through. Happy cleaning!!!

Where to start! Can I give it like a 100 stars?!!! I absolutely love this vacuum!!! Previous owner of a eureka vacuum; (yuck) with in 5 mins of putting it together my 4 year old broke a glass cup in the bathroom; glass everywhere!!! Tiny shards where everywhere!!! I picked up the big pieces and took out the wand and went to town on the tile floor, it got everything shard of glass up! I went over the whole floor a few times just in case I missed any....I was pretty sold! But I had to run a few more tests... did the kitchen beautifully! And the living room, steps, the inside of the couch... I will never use another brand again! This vacuum does everything! It’s got the lift off part, it can do hard floors, it can do carpets it does it all!!!! Steps, can do your car(might need an extension cord) this bad boy can do it all! I love the attachments for it! And I love that the wand can detach too! One for longer reaches like curtains! And a short one as well! I prefer the long wand because who really wants to bend over if you don’t have too! It gets in all the nooks and crannies! Does everything! Have a cat? It vacuums up that so easy! I also love that you can control the suction strength! Depending on what kind of floor your vacuuming! Have kids big mess no problem! Crumbs in the couch after telling them for the billionth time to not eat on the couch no problem! Hubby got this for me, because as you can guess we are moving soon! Best thing ever! I love how it has two buttons for dumping dirt one on the bottom and one on top in case you get something stuck you can get it out! This is amazing! You absolutely need this vacuum! Everyone should have this vacuum! It’s capabilities are better than awesome! Love how it very versatile! Sorry about jumping all over the place! It’s late for me. But this is so worth every penny! I hated the idea of spending money on another vacuum but this hunk of crap bissel needed to be replaced about a week after I bought it 10 years ago.
I was going to go cheap again but heard the shark brand was pretty good so I did what anyone would do, had a few drinks and hit buy now on Amazon (oh Amazon, where would I be without you?).
When I got this thing, I tore the box open like a mountain dew fueled 13 year old looking for that Xbox on Christmas morning. There were hoses and attachments flung across my living room floor and plastic bags everywhere.
This thing is a crackheads dream. It's got buttons, clips, and releases everywhere. You can adjust the suction level, turn the brushes on or off, release the canister from the brush head to carry around, release the wand and vacuum whatever you want, empty the canister from the top or bottom. There's so many attachments, there's not even room to attach them all to the vacuum.
This thing is stylish too, it looks sweet with the white and red. Being a single guy, I never thought I'd enjoy vacuuming, but this thing is fun to use. Sometimes I just have a few beers and realize I haven't vacuumed under the couch in a year.

Just arrived at my store and vacuumed all the carpets (which were just done the other day). The canister is half full. This is to replace my Shark Navigator that will come to the store. I cannot wait to use this at home and see how it deals with my very fluffy Maine Coon! I always loved my Shark Navigator but wanted an upgrade for the house. The one thing never mentioned is there is a dial on the front that controls suction. This a great feature for fabrics and curtains. Within a half hour of owning this, I am very pleased.
UPDATE. Vacuumed with my old Shark Navigator on Monday. Vacuumed with the new Shark Thursday and this is what I got from just the living room.
UPDATE 8/26/17 Within a few weeks of using this twice a week, the roller brush button would not stay clicked in. So here, I am pushing with my left hand and holding the button down with my right to have the brushes spin. I called Shark directly (I hadn't even registered it yet) and they sent me the unit that houses the button and the power cord, along with a new beater brush. I can't complain but still wonder how that button broke so quickly..

I have to say I am really impressed. I have had a Dyson for years. Like everyone who owns a Dyson, you think the expensive price tag equals quality. Most of the time this is true. And Dyson has quality. I was hesitant at the price tag considering it was relatively half priec of my previous vacuum. I was turned on to this unit by a professional flooring inspector. He referred me to a website that does third party testing on vacuum cleaners. This unit was the highest rated among canister vacuums. There a many which have better ratings but I will not buy a vacuum that uses bags. I opened the box and I was really pleased with the ease of assembly. Instructions are very well written.
I decided to give it a run immediately. Keep in mind, it had only been a couple days since my old vacuum broke. I noticed it brought the pile on the carpet back to life and wasn't too loud. Here is what I was blown away by. (SEE PIC. btw we have two cats lol) Like I said before, it had only been a couple days since we vacuumed last. Well, looks like we made a great choice.
You will not be sorry. On top of all this awesomeness, this unit has a variety of features which I haven't used. It converts to a hand held canister for the stairs too!
- came in a timely manner, everything was well packaged, everything in plastic wrap.
- assembly was a breeze, use your common sense. If you have no experience putting something together, read the instructions carefully. Parts simply snap into their respective positions.
- buttons are easily readable, such as Power, etc. There's a power button for turning the power brush on and off, a great feature of course for floors and high pile items such as bathroom mats.
- suction adjust feature is great. This allowed me to vacuum a high pile bathroom mat, and also a very short pile Matt in another bathroom. Real time saver because otherwise I would have to shake them out and or wash them.
- vacuum does lean back fairly well, but still can't get under beds, because of the motor / canister. It has an unpowered floor attachment which I have not tried. The floor attachment does have a couple lines of material which I think helps to shake up carpet or floors. It also has a flip switch, the purpose only being 2 push a wiper like rubber portion down. This blocks the back of the attachment so it catches more dirt, at least that's what it appears to me to be for, also perhaps to help maintain suction levels.
- I cleaned a bedroom that I had vacuumed just a few days prior with my old one. Because there is a bed and drawers, I realistically only vacuumed probably half of this 10 x 12 bedroom. I did go over it pretty well, and was pleased the vacuum picked up quite a bit of debris. It's always a little disgusting when you consider how much dust and dirt is sitting in what appears to be a clean carpet.
- for a 6-foot man, the height of the handle is great. The handle does have some weight to it when in use. I noticed it was a little bit weighty, I don't want to say heavy to throw anyone off. I'm just saying it has more weight to it than my old one.
- have not used the suction driven small vacuum attachment, so can't comment on that one yet. But with this strong vacuum I have experienced I am hoping it will do a good job on the fabric of my couch. I have a dog that sheds regularly, a real pain.
- I bought the cheap insurance because of some defects others have pointed out. It is important to remember, this is a PLASTIC device. Treat it with care when using. When removing the handle, and things that snap into place and have buttons to release them, just carefully do it. Don't jerk things out or ram them back in or you can expect to damage your new vacuum.
- I will mostly be using this on tile and vinyl plank flooring. I just tore the carpet out of one room and will tear it out of the other. So will not be able to comment much on performance with carpet, other than the initial comment I made.
It removed evidence of my pets shedding problems. Like my clothes and winter coat are cleaner because it has sucked up pet “glitter” I never even saw before on furniture. It’s taken up my daughter’s rapunzel like hair that was caught down in the creases of my couch. It has sucked up dust I didn’t even know I had!! I’m pretty sure this vacuum loves me back. I don’t even want to put it away in a closet because it’s so pretty, I want to show it off. I’m in for life. This vacuum deserves a diamond ring.
If you have settled for another vacuum before this one, just know, you deserve better. And it’s right here. At a great price. You will never regret your relationship with this baby. If you’re thinking about it, buy it. BUY THIS VACUUM.
Oh, and when you unbox yours, play “Pony” by Ginuwine. Trust me.

I finally decided on this one! My family has really bad allergies. My 6 year old son has bad asthma also.
Which is why I was on the hunt for “the best vacuum”
To my surprise ! As you can tell in the video
It reallllllyyyyy picked up what the human eyes cannot see!!
I’m excited to see if there’s a change in my kids/husband, sneezing/coughing.
The lift away mode is cool. But it is kinnnddaa heavy. Not unbearable but I’m sure after a while of carrying around. You’ll feel it
I also “revacuumed” my son’s rooms, last it got vacuumed was Friday.
They are barely in it.
And it picked up some noticeable amount !
I see a couple hairs wrapped around the no hair roller. As I was vacuuming. But my hair is reeealllyy thick and past my butt. So. I’m not surprised it didn’t work as it says it does as far as the no hair wrap function goes 😅
It is heavy but obviously that helps its performance.
Tip: make sure you always use the detach feature to separate the tank from the wheels when you’re using the hose. It’s such a heavy vacuum that it ALWAYS falls over when using the hose but it’s worth the weight because this thing literally gets even the dirt down in the carpet and fluffs it up to look new again!
The hose attachment is amazing for doing blinds and fans.

The beater brush handles 3-5 dogs, cat, and long ladies hair easy in a quick pass. All of the filters are washable/reusable and there are no bags because you just empty the plastic canister. The hand held wand never gets plugged up, because they added little doors to manually clean out obstructions.
We love this vacuum!
Now... it isn't magic. You have to clean it regularly, cut hair out of the beater bar, and most importantly get the right detachments for the job at hand. For this to work at its best it needs the floor attachment to the wand. We use this more than the beater brush because we don't have carpet anymore, just rugs that get terrible hairy. We use the wand and floor attachment through the whole house and have a full vacuum after 2 rooms, done once a week, and no hairy tumble weeds, sand, rocks, or cat litter!
BUY IT! SO WORTH IT!
Now, I cannot believe I paid so much for a vacuum without a retractable cord but I also can't believe that I waited so long! SHARK very clearly focused their energy on function vs fancy features and I'm not mad about it!
My carpet is 3 years old. I am 1 person without children. I do have 2 cats and occasionally dog sit for family. I also live in AZ where it is very dusty. I do occasionally wear shoes in the house but very infrequently And my shoes are never very dirty. I don't keep windows open much bc of all the dirt and dust. I vacuum 1 to 2x a week with a Bissell that I have had for around 6 years.
My carpet has been matted down in areas of heavy traffic despite it just being me living and walking here. Vacuuming has never made any difference in the matting.
I got this vacuum today and immediately put it together and vacuumed the living room. I am stunned, horrified, FLABBERGASTED, and almost embarrassed.
Please note I vacuumed on Monday this week. Today is Sunday. My robot vacuum went around the whole living room 3 hours before I used the shark. The robots cannister was not even a quarter full.
I have attached photos showing how much yuck the shark pulled out of my carpet. I can't believe my eyes. I also attached a photo showing an area that was matted before and after vacuuming.
The cannister on this shark seems to be pretty large capacity compared to my Bissell. It is not overly noisy. The handle is comfortable. It was very simple to put together. Took all of maybe 2 minutes by myself. The swivel steering does take some getting used to, kind of like learning reversing with a trailer on your vehicle.
I have not tried any of the accessories yet so I can't say how well they work. But I would buy this again and again.
I recently had a spinal fusion and spend most of my time in a great deal of pain. Using this vacuum did not cause any additional pain to my neck or back. My legs and arms burned afterwards bc it was difficult to push but I believe that's because of the amazing amount of suction this thing has!
Long story short. Buy it. You won't regret it. Stretch before you vacuum.
Pros:
-amazing suction/ function
-deep cleaning
-easy to put together
-attractive design
-large dirt capacity.
Cons:
- cord is not retracted
- swivel steering takes some getting used to
- the very strong suction seems to me the vacuum slightly difficult to push.
As far as the features I'm asked to rate, I do not have stairs so I can't say how it would do with stairs. But I can't imagine it would be anything less than great. I also have not tried the lift away feature.
As soon as I opened the box set up was quick and easy. I plugged that bad boy in and OH EM GEE. The first picture was the first pass on my carpet and the second pic is the second pass.
I couldn't beleive what my other vacuum was missing! I think I found my cat in the carpet!
As for weight its pretty manageable. The brush roll feels as if it is self propelled. The lights on the head are super neat too!
Everything about this vacuum is made to suck...literally!

I had heard good things about the Shark vacuums and figured, why not. I'm SO pleased with this vacuum! It works as it should and the photo attached to this post is after ONE vacuum session of our upstairs. It's a new home and hadn't been seriously vacuumed other than spot touchups in about a month (don't judge me, i just couldn't find a vacuum worth the cost!). It did such a great job that I almost wanted to buy another one for my mom. Would purchase again without hesitation...assuming it holds up for while.

I purchased this unit Sept 2020 on the recommendation of our cleaning lady; today the rotator head (see picture) broke down: basically the spinning brush stopped spinning; the unit is out of warranty; I took it to a local vacuum cleaner repair shop; they checked it out and said the belt was fine but the motor (which spins the rotator) was not working; they told me it was too expensive to repair and suggested I trade in my essentially junk unit for a $600 machine on their floor. I contacted Shark repair and after performing online suggested checks the website provided me with a contact number; I got thru immediately and Shade (I hope I have her name right!) sent me a zoom-like link to initiate a video call; after providing model and S/N she had me perform various tests and arrived at the same diagnosis. For about $45 Shark will send me a replacement head unit for exchange with my defective one; the outstanding customer service, the ease of finding support are what convinced me that this was a good machine to buy in the first place. The cleaning lady, of course, loves it.
HERE’S THE TRICK: My husband noticed a little clear window on the bottom side of the vacuum cleaner. In the window you could see that the tube was full. The vacuum tank was empty, but the window in the tube was full. I had vacuumed up some guinea pig hay and apparently it got stuck in the tube. Shark has an emergency ‘off’ switch inside that apparently stopped the vacuum so it wouldn’t burn out the motor. We were able to empty the tube and an hour later the vacuum started working again. This vacuum works better than any vacuum I’ve ever had! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Just check the little window to see if the tube is full if your vacuum stops working because something may have gotten stuck.
2 Stars. This vacuum worked great- While it worked. Great suction power, but a little on the heavy side, especially when vacuuming stairs. It wasn’t too loud like my last Shark vacuum. I received it on May 26. Today is June 21, and it’s not working at all.
Im completely skeptical about buying electronics on Amazon, but I’m soooo glad I did!

🔹I have a white cat, so her fur easily shows up on EVERYTHING. The “Pet Hair Attachment” (which also has spinning bristles) completely sucked up all the hair on my maroon recliners.
◾️LOOK AT THE PIC I POSTED OF THE CONTAINER!... all that disgusting dirt and fur came from a carpet that was about 15ftx15ft... yes, I would NEVER in a jillion years think my carpet was nasty, I vacuumed daily before I got this Shark
🔹Having 5 different attachments is wonderful! I use the “Dusting Brush” the most. The “Crevice Tool” is also great to use in tiny places.
🔹I can also easily vacuum up kitty litter without little pieces flying all over the room, or not getting sucked up at all

🔸I have fibromyalgia and I needed a way to vacuum the top of my cat’s 6 foot “castle,” which is why I got the lyft away vacuum, but the vacuum is still quite heavy.

I was going to go cheap again but heard the shark brand was pretty good so I did what anyone would do, had a few drinks and hit buy now on Amazon (oh Amazon, where would I be without you?).
When I got this thing, I tore the box open like a mountain dew fueled 13 year old looking for that Xbox on Christmas morning. There were hoses and attachments flung across my living room floor and plastic bags everywhere.
This thing is a crackheads dream. It's got buttons, clips, and releases everywhere. You can adjust the suction level, turn the brushes on or off, release the canister from the brush head to carry around, release the wand and vacuum whatever you want, empty the canister from the top or bottom. There's so many attachments, there's not even room to attach them all to the vacuum.
This thing is stylish too, it looks sweet with the white and red. Being a single guy, I never thought I'd enjoy vacuuming, but this thing is fun to use. Sometimes I just have a few beers and realize I haven't vacuumed under the couch in a year.
UPDATE. Vacuumed with my old Shark Navigator on Monday. Vacuumed with the new Shark Thursday and this is what I got from just the living room.
UPDATE 8/26/17 Within a few weeks of using this twice a week, the roller brush button would not stay clicked in. So here, I am pushing with my left hand and holding the button down with my right to have the brushes spin. I called Shark directly (I hadn't even registered it yet) and they sent me the unit that houses the button and the power cord, along with a new beater brush. I can't complain but still wonder how that button broke so quickly..
I was turned on to this unit by a professional flooring inspector. He referred me to a website that does third party testing on vacuum cleaners. This unit was the highest rated among canister vacuums. There a many which have better ratings but I will not buy a vacuum that uses bags.
I opened the box and I was really pleased with the ease of assembly. Instructions are very well written.
I decided to give it a run immediately. Keep in mind, it had only been a couple days since my old vacuum broke. I noticed it brought the pile on the carpet back to life and wasn't too loud. Here is what I was blown away by. (SEE PIC. btw we have two cats lol) Like I said before, it had only been a couple days since we vacuumed last. Well, looks like we made a great choice.
You will not be sorry. On top of all this awesomeness, this unit has a variety of features which I haven't used. It converts to a hand held canister for the stairs too!
