I use this daily on my bedding. It is saving my washing machine which I used to put the “hairy” sheets in to. It does not create any “pulls” on sheets and EASILY gets all the hair off. It’s very easy to empty (I do this weekly) and clean (I do this monthly). The charge lasts me at least a week, using a few minutes each morning and night.
It also works GREAT on hard to vacuum fabric like the weave in my throw pillows and chairs. (See pic) My $400 vacuum can’t even clean this well. Highly recommended!
Used it very briefly, to do my futon & half of my carpet. Picked up an insane amount of hair and dust.
My place doesn’t have the best air quality, so it tends to be extremely dusty.
Only slight annoyance is how much i will need to clean it, but i feel with frequent use i will have less dust/hair to clean out of it each time.
The suction could be a little better but for what it’s worth it’s great and I recommend it.
but CON: : I’m very happy with it, 5 stars because well worth it despite this!!!! BUT unfortunately you definitely have to plan ahead. It took 7 hrs to fully charge :( Also a but though… I think I could have gotten through vacuuming my overstuffed couch, chair and ottoman in 1 charge (they weren’t looking too bad… 1 run over them worked)… I just wouldn’t have enough juice to do the stairs too or furniture that hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time.
But seriously… INCREDIBLE on dog hair!! Hope that helps!
I hired a lady who owns a house cleaning business for almost 30 years. She loved using my Bissell on my stairs as well as for corners etc around the house. She asked me where I got it so she could buy some for her house cleaning business. She said typically she only liked Shark products but never cared for their hand vacs.
IF I had one complaint, it would be that Bissell doesn't sell replacement parts for the long skinny attachment. My dog chewed mine up and I had to go on a huge hunt for a replacement since I use that attachment 90% of the time. I finally found it from some off brand company and bought 2 in case it happened again.
Oh and I just (August 2022) purchased my first filter for my "new" July 2021 vacuum. It started collapsing when I'd turn the vacuum on and lost probably 50% suction. The 2019 vacuum still has original filter. When I empty the collection chamber, I usually rinse off the filter and set outside to dry completely/overnight before putting it back together.
This is a fairly quiet vacuum. There's just one button to turn it on or off. The cord is not as long as I'd like, but it's easy to wind. The dust bin is easy to detach and empty, but it's slightly annoying to put back because if you don't get it JUST right, it will fall out unexpectedly. It just doesn't snap easily or precisely onto the machine. I love that the filter is washable.
The convertibility is a big asset, in my opinion. It's easy to use this to clean furniture or countertops. Really, this can be used for *any* part of your house, car, or garage, but it would be slow going to clean *all* of it with this machine, because the surface area that it cleans at a time is pretty small. It's best for light clean up, IMO.
Why the heck isn't there a storage slot for the crevice tool??? Or did I just miss it? I looked and looked, and I can't find a place where it attaches to the vacuum when not in use. If this wasn't such an inexpensive vacuum, I'd probably bump the stars down to 3, just for the annoyance of having no where to put it. I also think there should be a bristle tool for upholstery.
Likewise, there isn't a latch that holds the handle upright. So, you can push it fully upright and let gravity hold it, but it will fall down immediately if it is bumped even slightly. This is a big design frustration.
The current price of $50 is ok for the size and quality. I think this would be a great tool for a college student or someone in a tiny house or apartment.
I do think this is best suited for a dorm room, small apartment or if you have wood floors with rugs. The suction is great but I think most would want something with a more substantial feel for larger square footage. When I took this out of the box, initially I was disappointed but the main parts snap together easily and securely and the suction is great.
I will mention that the long crevice tool doesn’t snap in or anything but I think the suction keeps it in place, no issues yet. Great lightweight vacuum.
This is so lightweight and easy to get around. I own 4 heavy duty vacs, they are too heavy to get down my stairs, I was looking for something I could vacuum my stairway with, we have wood stairs with nonskid star tread and this does a good job on it and it’s easy to use. I also love this for my bathrooms and it’s awesome in the kitchen. We bake a lot of whole grain seedy things and my husband has a burr grinder for his coffee which gets everywhere, this cleans up those messes easily without having to cart out my heavy vac every time we use the kitchen. The handle and brush head come off, so you can use this as a duster as well, it also has a crevice tool but no place to store it on the unit. I like that this has a very large dirt tank and it’s easy to clean, you push a button to release the tank so you can carry it alone to the trash and you pull out the filter and dump it out. This has a fabric filter not a hard to clean corrugated paper cone, it’s much easier to clean.
This is not a heavy duty vac, it works minimally on carpet, it has decent suction for surface dirt but don’t expect it to deeply clean carpet, it will not replace a heavy duty whole house vac, it’s mainly intended for areas that are hard to vacuum where you need something super light and portable and this is great for that purpose.
My only issue was the cord being about four feet short of reaching the second floor on the stairwell. It just won’t reach the last few stairs, so I have to find an outlet downstairs and plug it in to finish. Four more feet and it would have done the job without that annoyance. I’ll be getting a short extension cord to leave on it. Other then that, it is a great little stair vac and great for the kitchen and bathrooms. I love that it’s small enough to fit in the corner of my pantry close to where I need it most. I’ve used this almost everyday since I got it, it’s just so lightweight and easy to use. I like this a lot, can’t beat the price. Recommend
