The mechanism for emptying the bin is not remote. So, wrapping a plastic bag to reduce the spread of dust is very tricky...unlike the Dysons. The bottom of the bin doesn't seal well. And leaks dust. Other than these two, the vacuum is great. Love the light.

I'm not one to leave reviews, but I am seriously impressed with this vacuum. I've only used it once as it just arrived today. I used my old vacuum yesterday and I re-vacuumed the carpeted areas in my home with the new Bissell as soon as it arrived which consists of a hallway and three bedrooms. Look at what it picked up that my old vacuum left behind! It arrived fast and was easy to assemble. It is really light weight but with great suction. I love the swivel steering and bright lights. My daughter and I both have long hair that gets easily tangled in the brush of most vacuums. The Bissell has a tangle free brush roll that promises against hair wrap. I'm looking forward to that!

I promise I vacuumed a week before this and I am floored (get it?) by how well this vacuum works. The lift off feature makes it easy to suck cobwebs off the ceiling although it is still a bit heavy for me. Fairly easy to empty although being marketed for pet hair it would be nice to have a little tool to help pull out any hair without having to touch it cuz it can get stuck by the filter. Overall still 5/5.

I only got this yesterday, and after assembling it, I tried it out on my living room rug for about 30 seconds. I couldn't believe how much pet hair it picked up in that short amount of time! See the photo. I was pretty horrified because I had just vacuumed that rug with a Dyson stick-type vacuum. I have four cats, so that explains it . . .
Update: the only thing that annoys me about this is that it doesn’t have a way to lift up the suction part when you’re going from floor to rug, for example. You have to pick up the whole vacuum cleaner and it’s kind of heavy.

I'll start by saying that I did alot of research, read a ton of reviews and watched countless video reviews before buying this vacuum. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that I went ahead and purchased it!!!! This vacuum was replacing a very expensive Dyson; which I HATE with all that I am!! It is the worst vacuum I have ever owned, and I was mortified at how poor of a job I discovered it was doing when I bought this vacuum. Now, I have a very tidy place, and I do not like clutter. I have two cats but I vacuum at least every other day. Maybe obsessive, but I like things clean. The pictures attached are from day one of vacuuming my 1,000sqft apartment. The canister was filled TWICE!!!! Despite the fact that I had vacuumed the day before with the Dyson!!! The suction is fantastic and will pick up a quarter. It's light and the high pile option glides nicely let my high pile rug. My only disappointment with this vacuum is that it does not seem to do that great of a job on the hardwood floors at my entry and kitchen. However, I have never had a vacuum that I found did hard wood floors well, so it's not a deal breaker for me. I have had no hair tangles in the machine ever after 2 months of use. It socks up the cat hair of the cat tree like a charm leaving it looking brand new! You do need to make sure when you use the spinning attachment to the hand suction that the vacuum is set to low pile. If it's on high pile it will not suck as well, and stops the blades when you push down. I feel it is not any louder than any other vacuum I have owned, and perhaps quieter than most. Definitely quieter than the Dyson! Maneuverability is fantastic and it glides and turns well. Overall I'm thoroughly satisfied with this vacuum and would highly recommend it!

Full disclosure: I am having to send the vacuum back because the LED lights stopped working the first time I used it and never came back on. I was not offered a replacement, only a refund so that I could reorder another vacuum. I bought this vacuum while it was on sale and since the refund is for the sale price, I will not be buying another (not due to price) reasons listed below::
REVIEW: Pros: *Does an excellent job of getting up hair, fur, dirt, dust and whatever else may be lingering in your carpets. *Can adjust for lower and higher carpets. *LED lights were bright (while they worked). I loved that they run along the bottom of the base so you can REALLY see what you probably couldn't before *Lift away option is super convenient *The wand has excellent suction. Had no issues picking up everything along the baseboards **See Cons for more about the wand**
Cons: *It's heavier and sometimes harder to push than expected. Not terrible but I could see it being an issue for someone with back or shoulder issues *Crevice tool is a 2 in1 with the brush tool. You can push the brush part down but since it doesn't remove completely, the brush part was too wide to even use the crevice tool as needed in some places. *Handle/Wand length-this is a big one for me, my old vacuum allowed you to use both the top and/or the long part of the wand for attachments. -This vacuum only gives you the option of using the long wand or connecting attachments directly to the hose. You lose the actual handle part of the wand which I find odd and extremely inconvenient. -Due to the wand length, I couldn't get behind some tighter, hard to reach places or maneuver around objects on dressers and tables. -I didn't try attaching the crevice/brush attachment to the hose so I can't say how much better it would have worked but you'd have to hold on to the attachment or hose directly since there'd be no handle (not a big deal for some, I'm sure. I'm just set in my ways ;))
Summary: I use my vacuum for carpets, floors, furniture and everything in-between. If I ONLY used it for vacuuming floors or open spaces, I'd buy again without hesitation.
100% recommended for cleaning floors and easy to reach areas. Not recommended if you have a lot of narrow or hard to reach places.

Look at the photo and behold how much crap this thing sucked out of my carpet which I had already vacuumed with a different vacuum cleaner just an hour prior!!
I've been struggling with allergies, especially in my bedroom which unfortunately has a plush carpet that I can't remove. But I was skeptical about buying an anti-allergy vacuum cleaner because I already have a carpet washer and another small vacuum cleaner. And I've been vacuuming my room at least twice a week. I felt like another vacuum cleaner would just add an expense but won't make a big difference. Boy, was I wrong. The difference is DRASTIC after the very first time. Even the air in the room immediately feels lighter after I vacuumed my carpet with this thing. Other pros,besides the fact that it has such a strong suction: - It's very lightweight and easy to maneuver. I'm surprised. It's head rotates easily, so I can get around the corners without having to lift it and turn it around awkwardly. - The canister has large capacity and easy to clean. - Has a couple of additional attachments for upholstery and narrow spots. - has "headlights" that make it easier to see what I'm vacuuming, and help me not miss a small item that could accidentally get sucked in, like an earring. - has a carpet density setting, so you can set the pressure for a low carpet or a plush carpet and everything in between. - Has the option of having the rotating brush on or off!!! Yes!!!! Omfg. I could never understand why some models of vacuum cleaners don't have the option of switching the damn brush OFF. Being able to switch it off means that this vacuum is suitable for hardwood floors, AND that if you're vacuuming a rug or a carpet that has a lot of hair on it, you can first run the vacuum over it without the rotating brush, to suck all the hair out without getting it tangled around the brush. And then you can switch the brush on and get some quality vacuuming.

Our old bagless vacuum cleaner was developing air leaks and failing to pick up hair so time for a new one. The Bissell MultiClean has many 4+ratings so we decided on this model. Came the next day and assembled in a few minutes. My wife started vacuuming our family room area rug and was amazed at how much pet hair it picked up. Come with a long cord, stair and upholstery tool, plus combination crevice brush attachment. So far it’s a real winner.

Ok, so I have a dog that has very corse white hair and sheds like he has 2,700 layers of hair. My previous vacuum was dying, so I needed something new. I love how the handle separates for wall/ceiling cleaning. And the dog hair attachment works great if you push the button for plush carpet. However, it doesn't stretch as far as you think, so you just need to carry the vacuum with you. All on all though, amazing vacuum and I am very happy with it. Not sponsored!!!!

I had to buy a new vaccuum because my granddaughters cat for whatever reason is a wire chewer, so I thought this one would be great it does what I need with a retractable cord. It arrives today and SURPRISE.. exposed wires for the little beast to nibble on.
So i put some split wire loom on ther to cover the wires and head to the living room to try it out. It's definitely heavier than my dearly departed Shark lift away, and the maneuverability is just not there. The suction is great and it's got allergen filters and a 5 year warranty but I don't recommend for an older person or someone is poor health.

So glad I got it during the lightening deal. Cannot comment on longevity. However, it’s really about how you keep it clean. Highly recommend BISSELL brand.

Easy snap together once it arrived. I am ashamed to say in my living room the vacumn picked up two full baskets of rabbit hair and dirt that my previous vacumn had missed. It is easy to use and I like the options buttons. The only issue I have is that when it turns it is difficult to get used to how to control it. But it will turn easily to get into anywhere. I would recommend this vacumn is is inexpensive and easy to clean.

We rescued an Australian Cattle dog mix just before Thanksgiving. I vacuum every day because he's rotating coat right now. Our old vac scared the dog so I vacuumed when husband walked him. I vacuumed this morning. This Bissell arrived two days early so during afternoon walk, I tried it out. Covered just the areas I'd done this morning. Expand the photo. Look.at.all.the.hair. LOOK AT IT!
This vacuum is fantastic and much quieter than our old one so I should be able to walk with husband and dog and clean without scaring the dog.
Follow up addressing some mentions of brush doesn't spin or doesn't clean carpet. There's a button you toggle for either floors or carpet. The roller only spins on the carpet setting. There's a slide control on the handle for carpet height. If it's set too low, the vacuum is a bear to maneuver, too high, less contact of the brush.

My old vacuum finally broke. Well, I actually broke it trying to remove yet another clog in the hose, and good riddance to that awful machine. It was seven days between the old vacuum breaking and the Bissell Multiclean Pet arriving, so seven days since I last vacuumed. Picture one is everything the Bissell sucked out of my carpet upon arrival. Picture two is the next day, vacuuming my upstairs carpet only. That was everything my old vacuum left behind. Disgusting! And I don't even have a pet right now (though we'll be adopting soon).
This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. Seems to work just as well as, if not better than, my sister's Shark. The liftoff feature and the swivel are really convenient, and I've had no issues pushing or maneuvering it on rugs and carpet of varying pile. I never knew I was capable of getting so much satisfaction out of using a vacuum cleaner. The filth being pulled out if my carpets is so satisfying that it makes me want to vacuum every day.

This vacuum cleans more thoroughly than all my previous ones. I am absolutely in love with how it picks up and handles hair. On my previous vacuum cutting all of the hair off the vacuum brush turned into a monthly chore. With this Clean View vacuum, it just all piles neatly into the canister and dumps easily into the trash when emptying the canister. I am really enjoying the lift off feature of the vacuum canister. It is really convenient! This vacuum is powerful and does have some difficulty turning sharply and corning in tight spaces. The vacuum is small enough to fit under low objects like beds and between tight spaces, just not easy to control once you are there. Overall, I am highly pleased with this one and definitely recommend to anyone who has problem removing long hair or dog hair from the floor.

Before purchasing this vacuum I had the Shark duo clean that I've had for 5 years. I liked the shark and it's suction and ease of use. My 9 yo is asthmatic and I wanted a vacuum that had a Hepa filter and was made for pets since we do have a long-haired dachshund and though he doesn't shed much, I wanted to get something that would help with allergens. After unboxing, the directions were clear and easy to follow, the vacuum was easy to put together with just a few clicks. We have really short carpet located in living room and hall area only with a few area rugs elsewhere. The vacuum did seem to not glide so well in certain directions of the carpet to which I've never had an issue before, I did like the swivel action and was easy to glide around coffee table and piano, the wand was easy to get the highs and lows, I also tried it on our hardwood floors and it picked up better than the shark and went around and under the dining table with ease.
Overall, I feel the vacuum did its intended purpose and worked very well. The only reason I didn't get 5 stars was because of how it seems to bounce around a bit on my low carpet to which I will just figure out the direction that works better. Will update over time.

I like that it is fantastic picking up my corgi/ husky mix’s thick hair off my sofa and my rug, I like that it was very easy to put together, and it’s bagless which is huge pretty easy to move around, that being said, I don’t like the cord. It’s to short so I use an extension cord. Also the cord comes from bottom of the machine and you have to hold it with your non working/ steering hand or else you will roll over it. Also, it’s constantly falling over when using attachments! Drives me crazy. Especially when using that roller attachment. Wish the suction was a little stronger for The wood floors, but I just make an extra lap around my tiny house. Price is right.

I have had this vacuum for about a month now. I love that it is lightweight. The suction power for cleaning the carpet is awesome. I had vacuumed my carpet 2 days prior to getting this one and the amount of hair and dirt that this one pulled up was disgusting. The ability to detach the canister and vacuum high to reach areas/steps is a great feature. I was a little worried about the power head being smaller than my old one but I quickly realized that is a plus. I can get into those tight areas when before I had to move things around. The features such as changing the carpet level and turning on and off the power head are easy to reach. The getting use to items on the vacuum: The cord is not as long as my old one. I live in an older house so I have to just learn to be more efficient about where I plug it in. It is a swivel head vacuum. I never had one before so that is taking some time to get use to but definitely not a deal breaker. This was a great purchase. I highly recommend.

I vacuumed my floors with my old vacuum before testing out this one. The amount of dirt and pet hair that it picked up after one quick pass is INSANE! It’s a bit heavier than my older vacuum but not to the point that it’s difficult to manage. The swivel head takes a second to get used to but I can’t go back to not having one. Also, the lights on the front really help see dirt and fur on my hard surfaces. 10/10 recommend.

We live in a small house and have two dogs. One is a miniature sheltie / border collie mix and often drops tufts of fine hair when the temperature changes. The other really doesn’t shed.
We’ve had a Bissell “Powerforce Helix Turbo” For quite a while, but it just doesn’t clean as well as one would think. I read some reviews for “upright vacuum for pets” and this model came highly recommended.
I just put it together 20 minutes ago. At first, the brush wouldn’t turn although the switch was on. I looked in the manual and unplugged the vac and plugged it back in and it is working now.
For the real test, I vacuumed out small hallway - about 14 feet long - with the old vacuum as I normally would. A few passes in different directions.
Then I fired up this new vacuum and went over the hallway again. Oh my! It picked up quite a bit that the older vac missed(see photo). And this hallway is maybe 80 square feet.
Very impressive!

So I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but as a dog trainer I do try to leave reviews on the “pet” related products I buy. I have two pups a Belgian malinois and a catahoula leopard. They are not crazy shedders but they do she’d like any normal dog. I vacuum at least 2 times a week and my shark robot vacuum runs every week day…. So I thought we would be okay or not too bad at all. BOY WAS I WRONG…. There was so much hair in my carpets on my hard wood and on my couch. These pictures were taken after I vacuumed with our old vacuum and let the shark robot go over my carpeted areas. And man I am blown away there is no way there’s this much hair seeped into our carpets. This vacuum picked up EVERYTHING. It worked so well that I am just flabbergasted. The amount of pet hair alone is probably what keeps me stuffy year round. So I would highly highly recommend this vacuum for any dog owner no matter the shedding amount. It’s pretty light weight and works absolutely amazing. Great product would buy it 100x over.

In my opinion, this vacuum works much better than my high-priced Dyson. It is so lightweight and I find it quiet. The head swivels easily. Doesn't suck up and destroy my rugs like the Dyson, but WOW does it pick up dirt and pet hair from my hardwoods and carpets! It doesn't put any strain on my back or shoulders. I LOVE the headlights - didn't know I needed them. The lights really show you the dirt, so nothing is missed. My biggest complaint is the power cord that comes out right at the back wheel, so unless you clip the cord in the slot at the top of the handle, you are constantly running over the cord. And you lose 3' of an already short cord by holding the cord out of the way. I don't mind that the cord isn't auto-retract. The canister is a tad bulky so if you want to vacuum under furniture, then this vac isn't going to work for you. The lift off feature works well, though I need to purchase a different attachment to clean my hardwood stairs. All said - I really like this vacuum. Cannot beat the price for a basic no frills vacuum cleaner. It REALLY does a great job vacuuming up dirt, dust, and cat hair. Highly recommend!

Really love that there is a setting for hardwood floors and another for carpet. My prior vacuum no longer worked due to getting tangled with hair. This vacuum does not appear to have that issue. Found out the cleaning lady cheated me and I have this vacuum to thank! If you have your carpet professionally cleaned, you’re not supposed to see that much dirt afterwards. See picture. If I knew what I knew now, I buy the vacuum and do the carpet myself, would’ve just gotten the work done on the cheap.

It was working but I doing think great anymore.. it had a bag so hard to tell what all it was sucking up .. so did the whole Josie with it.. this one arrived and did the whole house with new one few hours later .. OMG! I’m embarrassed but satisfied! I emptied it each time before each of these 4 rooms! I mean anything would have been an upgrade I guess but this worked so week.. easy to use light to carry LOVE the color detail :) easy to dump out!

I have spent a lot of money on really good vacuum cleaners over the years. I've owned Kirbys, Dysons, Sharks, etc. but in recent years I've used mostly Sharks. I have a fur baby who sheds a lot and I would get tired of emptying my Shark every two to three minutes and having to stop to untangle the brush several times during a single cleaning. This Bissell just arrived today and I wanted to try it even though I just vacuumed about two hours ago with my Shark Rocket. I unpacked it and it easily snapped together in less than 5 minutes. I used it on an 8x10 area rug that I just vacuumed. I was stunned! Please see the photos of what came out and NO HAIR had to be removed from the brush! I was so pleased I wanted to immediately write a review. This is my new favorite vacuum and I recommend it to anyone with pets.

So far I’m liking this vacuum. It picked up so much more than my old one. The picture is what it got up out of a hallway after it had been professionally carpet cleaned and I had vacuumed once with my old vacuum. Then I used this on it—and still got some much more dirt. Very impressed. It is lightweight. My one comment for improvement would be if they could add in a lock in place setting to the maneuverability factor. This thing moves smoothly at all angles. But the constant movement is a little tough to get used to. I feel like steering it takes more energy than old ones. But maybe it makes up for it being so light. (Note I haven’t tried the canister lift off feature yet, and kinda doubt I ever will.)

My dog sheds mercilessly. I have burnt up a Kirby and several other vacuums keeping up with him. This vacuum is highly rated and does not disappoint. Best feature is the roller brush designed that does not get wound up with hair, which it does beautifully. I've not had to pull hair out of it once. The drop bottom on the cannister let's gravity empty it without getting your hands dirty. Another great feature. There is one downside. This is not good at picking up things, other than hair. If you are say, trying to pick up a popcorn kernel or a some shredded paper on the floor. It doesn't do a great job. You'll likely have to run over it several times and ultimately have to pull the wand out to pick the piece up. I recommend this for hair only.

I'm not one to write reviews because usually someone else has already said what ever it is I'd want to say. This vacuum is so good, though, that I had to share! We have two dogs and two cats. One of the dogs is a Husky. Huskies don't just shed, they do something called "blowing" their coat. Since ours doesn't like to be brushed, she literally drops large wads of dog hair everywhere.
This vacuum replaced a perfectly good older model Bissell, but since we got the Husky, it didn't do as well as we needed. It was great for "regular" pet hair, though. My new Bissell picks up the wads of hair and they don't get tangled on the brush. Longer hairs (like some of her tail hair or human hair) does--a little bit. The brush design, though, makes it crazy-easy to pull off. I keep a small pair of embroidery scissors in with my cleaning supplies and cut the hair along the edge of one row of brushes and then unwrap.
As with any tool, you have to learn what works for you. Some people said they didn't have luck on hardwood floors. Try the beater brush on, and off, change the suction settings on the wand, try vacuuming with slower strokes. I can't guarantee it'll work, but get familiar with all of the options and use them to your advantage. I've never had a problem with using a beater brush on hardwood floors, and trust me I'm not going to do anything that'll ruin the original floors in my 130+ year old home.
I love the one touch easy empty feature. Yes, sometimes I have to coax the larger chunks of dog hair our with my hands, but that's the exception, not the rule. Again, I have a Husky who is almost always blowing coat--and I let the bin get pretty full.
I love the wand and the handle. I have arthritis in my hands and the handle makes it so easy to use. We have high ceilings and tall windows that the wand won't reach. That's true to any vacuum cleaner, but this extension (available on Amazon) fits: Extension Wand Replacement for Bissell P/N 3522, 6585, Bissell Part # 203-1068 2031068. This is NOT a Bissell part. Amazon also carries the Bissel Wand OEM part no. 203-2666 but I do not know if it fits this model.
Filters, per the user manual, are either washable or you just tap the dust out. Not good enough? I also keep a cheap paintbrush in my cleaning arsenal and when the time comes, I'll brush off the filter if necessary.
Bottom line, if I can't hire a housekeeper, I must have this Bissell in my life.

Love that you can detach the canister and the long length of the handle - makes vacuuming the stairs and reaching high places a lot easier; however, the “no tangle brush” can’t handle either my long hair or husky-mix’s fur I guess. Picture is after first use on stairs and upstairs carpet, 500sq ft. I vacuum regularly, a “no tangle” brush shouldn’t be this tangled after one use.

Omg omg omg!! I freaking cant get enough of this vacuume! I looked at a million different sweapers and read a million reviews for weeks before making my mind up & purchasing this one! I am so thankful I chose this vacuume! I have always loved the bissell brand. There is no comparison when it comes to other name brands! I had the cleanview swivel rewind for over3 years before this & it did us well however this vacuume is above and beyond expectations. I mean the stuff my old vacuume left behind looked like sand after using this powerful thing! I absolutely love it. The suction power is just astonishing! It gets down in there and gets the job done right the 1st time! The way it comes apart and u can carry it around is amazing all in itself. No more knockin over ur vacuume trying to sweep with the hose. And if u think thats awesome the handle part of the vacuume comes apart to use your hose tool! No more bending hurting your back on your hands and knees to get in corners or couches!!! I would so recommend this vacuume to any and everyone!!! Would most def buy again and again! Dont listen to those negative reviews! Some people just cant be pleased!!! If your on the fence dont be.. Buy buy buy!
The bottom of the bin doesn't seal well. And leaks dust.
Other than these two, the vacuum is great. Love the light.
No dust, no mess, easy to use, easy to store, and no pet hair.
Maeve sheds 24/7/365 and I'm allergic to dogs.
Ali did try to eat it but gave up quickly.

Update: the only thing that annoys me about this is that it doesn’t have a way to lift up the suction part when you’re going from floor to rug, for example. You have to pick up the whole vacuum cleaner and it’s kind of heavy.
Full disclosure: I am having to send the vacuum back because the LED lights stopped working the first time I used it and never came back on. I was not offered a replacement, only a refund so that I could reorder another vacuum. I bought this vacuum while it was on sale and since the refund is for the sale price, I will not be buying another (not due to price) reasons listed below::
REVIEW:
Pros: *Does an excellent job of getting up hair, fur, dirt, dust and whatever else may be lingering in your carpets.
*Can adjust for lower and higher carpets.
*LED lights were bright (while they worked). I loved that they run along the bottom of the base so you can REALLY see what you probably couldn't before
*Lift away option is super convenient
*The wand has excellent suction. Had no issues picking up everything along the baseboards **See Cons for more about the wand**
Cons: *It's heavier and sometimes harder to push than expected. Not terrible but I could see it being an issue for someone with back or shoulder issues
*Crevice tool is a 2 in1 with the brush tool. You can push the brush part down but since it doesn't remove completely, the brush part was too wide to even use the crevice tool as needed in some places.
*Handle/Wand length-this is a big one for me, my old vacuum allowed you to use both the top and/or the long part of the wand for attachments.
-This vacuum only gives you the option of using the long wand or connecting attachments directly to the hose. You lose the actual handle part of the wand which I find odd and extremely inconvenient.
-Due to the wand length, I couldn't get behind some tighter, hard to reach places or maneuver around objects on dressers and tables.
-I didn't try attaching the crevice/brush attachment to the hose so I can't say how much better it would have worked but you'd have to hold on to the attachment or hose directly since there'd be no handle (not a big deal for some, I'm sure. I'm just set in my ways ;))
Summary:
I use my vacuum for carpets, floors, furniture and everything in-between. If I ONLY used it for vacuuming floors or open spaces, I'd buy again without hesitation.
100% recommended for cleaning floors and easy to reach areas. Not recommended if you have a lot of narrow or hard to reach places.
I've been struggling with allergies, especially in my bedroom which unfortunately has a plush carpet that I can't remove. But I was skeptical about buying an anti-allergy vacuum cleaner because I already have a carpet washer and another small vacuum cleaner. And I've been vacuuming my room at least twice a week. I felt like another vacuum cleaner would just add an expense but won't make a big difference. Boy, was I wrong. The difference is DRASTIC after the very first time. Even the air in the room immediately feels lighter after I vacuumed my carpet with this thing.
Other pros,besides the fact that it has such a strong suction:
- It's very lightweight and easy to maneuver. I'm surprised. It's head rotates easily, so I can get around the corners without having to lift it and turn it around awkwardly.
- The canister has large capacity and easy to clean.
- Has a couple of additional attachments for upholstery and narrow spots.
- has "headlights" that make it easier to see what I'm vacuuming, and help me not miss a small item that could accidentally get sucked in, like an earring.
- has a carpet density setting, so you can set the pressure for a low carpet or a plush carpet and everything in between.
- Has the option of having the rotating brush on or off!!! Yes!!!! Omfg. I could never understand why some models of vacuum cleaners don't have the option of switching the damn brush OFF. Being able to switch it off means that this vacuum is suitable for hardwood floors, AND that if you're vacuuming a rug or a carpet that has a lot of hair on it, you can first run the vacuum over it without the rotating brush, to suck all the hair out without getting it tangled around the brush. And then you can switch the brush on and get some quality vacuuming.

So i put some split wire loom on ther to cover the wires and head to the living room to try it out. It's definitely heavier than my dearly departed Shark lift away, and the maneuverability is just not there. The suction is great and it's got allergen filters and a 5 year warranty but I don't recommend for an older person or someone is poor health.
This vacuum is fantastic and much quieter than our old one so I should be able to walk with husband and dog and clean without scaring the dog.
Follow up addressing some mentions of brush doesn't spin or doesn't clean carpet. There's a button you toggle for either floors or carpet. The roller only spins on the carpet setting. There's a slide control on the handle for carpet height. If it's set too low, the vacuum is a bear to maneuver, too high, less contact of the brush.
This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. Seems to work just as well as, if not better than, my sister's Shark. The liftoff feature and the swivel are really convenient, and I've had no issues pushing or maneuvering it on rugs and carpet of varying pile. I never knew I was capable of getting so much satisfaction out of using a vacuum cleaner. The filth being pulled out if my carpets is so satisfying that it makes me want to vacuum every day.
This vacuum is powerful and does have some difficulty turning sharply and corning in tight spaces. The vacuum is small enough to fit under low objects like beds and between tight spaces, just not easy to control once you are there. Overall, I am highly pleased with this one and definitely recommend to anyone who has problem removing long hair or dog hair from the floor.
Overall, I feel the vacuum did its intended purpose and worked very well. The only reason I didn't get 5 stars was because of how it seems to bounce around a bit on my low carpet to which I will just figure out the direction that works better. Will update over time.
The wood floors, but I just make an extra lap around my tiny house. Price is right.
The getting use to items on the vacuum: The cord is not as long as my old one. I live in an older house so I have to just learn to be more efficient about where I plug it in. It is a swivel head vacuum. I never had one before so that is taking some time to get use to but definitely not a deal breaker.
This was a great purchase. I highly recommend.
We’ve had a Bissell “Powerforce Helix Turbo”
For quite a while, but it just doesn’t clean as well as one would think. I read some reviews for “upright vacuum for pets” and this model came highly recommended.
I just put it together 20 minutes ago. At first, the brush wouldn’t turn although the switch was on. I looked in the manual and unplugged the vac and plugged it back in and it is working now.
For the real test, I vacuumed out small hallway - about 14 feet long - with the old vacuum as I normally would. A few passes in different directions.
Then I fired up this new vacuum and went over the hallway again. Oh my! It picked up quite a bit that the older vac missed(see photo). And this hallway is maybe 80 square feet.
Very impressive!
